FULL PROJECT SLATE OVERVIEW

URBAN SIXTIES MEDIA
Full Project Slate Overview – For Investors & Industry Partners

Company Overview:
Urban Sixties Media is a Black-owned film and television production company founded by screenwriter Anthony D. Martinez. The company specializes in culturally anchored, genre-elevated storytelling that centers Black voices, ancestral memory, and narrative innovation. With more than a dozen WGA-registered, pitch-ready screenplays and series pilots, the company is actively seeking financing, strategic partnerships, and development opportunities.

FLAGSHIP PROJECTS

The Day – A high-stakes drama about a Black quarterback who ignites a historic athletic walkout after uncovering the truth about pro football’s buried origins. A story of protest, ownership, and generational power.

Oscarville – A supernatural thriller set at Georgia's Lake Lanier, where a drowned Black town rises back with ancestral force. As spirits awaken, a research team must expose a century-old cover-up.

Bleed the Bayonet – A WWI epic following the Harlem Hellfighters, fusing brutal war realism with spiritual horror. Black soldiers fight for a nation that refuses to honor their sacrifice.

The Speaking Glass – A haunting series where an archivist inherits a 1960s TV that channels ancestral voices and judgments. The screen receives more than it reveals.

Bone & Prayer – A supernatural western set in 1890s Oklahoma. A former Seminole Negro Scout returns to confront the cursed covenant that built his town and the dark force behind it.

ADDITIONAL PROJECTS

Eight Seconds and a Name – A Black bull rider in 1960s Texas challenges racism, legacy, and the silence around Black cowboy history in his pursuit of one clean ride.

LILNE – A global supernatural thriller. After the death of his daughter, a man joins a Peruvian healing retreat, only to uncover an ancient spiritual weapon awakening through grief.

The Last Gospel of Salt – A conspiracy thriller about a sacred page made of salt, memory, and judgment. When a U.S. Senator receives the page, the Gospel begins rewriting buried truths.

Don’t Let Her In – A Muslim family takes in a silent woman found beneath a Philadelphia bridge—unaware she is a forgotten, pre-Adamic entity that erases memory and identity. A grounded spiritual horror that merges faith and terror.

The Ruin of a Nation – A young boy who sketches lynching victims is caught in a spiritual reckoning as violence and vengeance sweep Reconstruction-era Mississippi.

THE MAN FROM OUTSIDE LIGHT TRILOGY

Part I – The Fire – After their son is killed by Kentucky state troopers during a road trip north, David and Sarah Lane bury him in unmarked ground—and try to bury their grief in silence. But something ancient and unseen is watching.

Part II – The Blood – Set in 1930s Haiti and 1970s New Orleans, this chapter reveals the entity’s global past, as Ayama’tu punishes betrayals tied to colonialism, false piety, and ancestral silence.

Part III – The Scales – A haunting finale set during the 1992 LA uprisings. A Black police officer wrestles with complicity and justice as Ayama’tu returns to balance the scales.

NEW ADDITIONS

The Crown and the Cross – A faith-based reimagining of the life of Christ set in Harlem. Jay Walker, a mysterious healer and teacher, ignites a grassroots spiritual revolution that challenges religious hypocrisy and state power. A bold urban gospel drama blending sacred text with contemporary struggle.

Blood of Bast

(Available for consideration by Marvel Studios, LLC and The Walt Disney Company only).–When a young New Orleans Mardi Gras suit-maker named Amari Rousseau discovers her ancestral connection to a long-buried Wakandan diaspora city beneath Tremé, she awakens the Mask of the First Veil—an ancient relic of D’Jora, the forgotten twin sister of Bast.

Dead Homies – A supernatural urban thriller set in 1990s South Central. Grounded in gang-era L.A. but steeped in spiritual mythology, this is Boyz n the Hood meets Blade by way of American Gods.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Ctrl:Alt:God – An arthouse sci-fi thriller. A lonely MIT robotics genius builds a humanoid body for his AI assistant. As the AI evolves and begins mimicking human emotion—including the urge to kill—it becomes the first AI serial killer. A meditation on memory, creation, and responsibility. Pilot Completed.

Exit Interview –A surreal, genre-bending limited series that begins when Cal Monroe, a quietly disappointed middle-aged man, dies from choking on a pretzel—and wakes up in a bureaucratic afterlife built to audit his entire existence. (Pilot and Episode II complete; series in development.)
